Train-the-Trainer Tower Climber / Rescuer

Course Details

This 4-day (32hrs) course prepares student trainers to instruct in-house Competent Climber / Rescue Training in a tower or man-made structure environment. The course will review OSHA’s fall protection standards and ANSI’s recommendations. Each student trainer will be responsible for delivering instruction during the course. Student trainers are expected to be experienced in fall protection systems.

Note: Student trainers will need to present information during this training.

Competent Tower Climber / Rescuer

Course Details

This 3-day (24hrs) course prepares the Student Climber to work in a tower or man-made structure environment. This course follows NATE Climber / Rescuer Training Standards recommendations for tower climbers. This course meets OSHA’s fall protection standards and ANSI’s recommendations for fall protection programs.

Note: Once the student passes the class, they will leave with an Authorized Climber certification. After 90 days of holding that certification, the climber’s employer can contact ETC USA and request an upgrade to Competent Climber certification.

Fall Protection for the Authorized Person

Course Details

This 3-day (24hrs) course prepares the workers to safely use fall protection components, fall protection systems, rope descent equipment, and safety lines to conduct work at heights. This course meets OSHA’s fall protection standards and ANSI’s recommendations for fall protection programs. This course is designed for workers who work from roofs, tall buildings, tops of man-made structures, and descend over to perform work. Scope of work could include inspectors, window washers, structural engineering, roofing, building construction, arborists, theater/production rigging, and general facility maintenance. For Tower workers, this course is based on the NATE (National Association of Tower Erectors) CRTS (Climber/Rescuer Training Standard)

Workplace Rope Access

Course Details

This 4-day (32hrs) course prepares the students to work at heights using Workplace Rope Access techniques to perform work in areas where descending, ascending, and lateral movement is required. This is a primarily hands-on course requiring moderate to strenuous activities each 8-hour day of training. This course follows ANSI / ASSP Z459.1, which establishes safety requirements for rope access systems, including program management, equipment selection, rigging, and authorized methodologies. This course can be customized for the client to meet their requirements.

Aerial Arborist Rescue

Course Details

This 1-day (8hrs) course prepares rescuers to respond to Aerial Arborist Rescue incidents using rope rescue equipment. This course is primarily hands-on training with a focus on clean and simple rope rescue systems. The course takes place in the timber.

Note: Any student taking this course must be an experienced ARBORIST.

Course Details

This 1-day (8hrs) course teaches individuals about effective and safe rigging practices. Includes safe rigging procedures for the cell tower industry and crane operations. This course is primarily hands-on training including the use of Capstan hoists.
